Responsibilities

Technica Corporation is seeking highly skilled Infrastructure Operations Engineer who is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving enterprise collaboration, reporting, and authentication platforms across the organization. This role ensures stability, security, and performance of critical systems including SharePoint, Power BI Report Server, SQL clusters, and various on premises and cloud-based infrastructure services. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of hybrid environments, and the ability to support security/ATO compliance efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

SharePoint Administration

  • Manage, configure, and maintain on premises, Azure and cloud-based SharePoint environments.
  • Perform troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Support governance and service requests.
  • Administer SharePoint Online (SPO), including security, access controls, and feature management.

Power BI Report Server Administration

  • Administer and maintain on prem/Azure Power BI Report Server.
  • Configure data sources, manage report deployment, and support users with report accessibility issues.
  • Monitor server performance and ensure report refresh reliability.
  • Monitor and support SQL server for Power BI RS

Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)

  • Support ADFS environments, including troubleshooting authentication/claims issues.
  • Maintain configurations supporting secure access to enterprise applications.

SQL & Failover Cluster Support

  • Possess baseline SQL administration knowledge.
  • Support SQL cluster monitoring, failover testing, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with database teams on maintenance, patches, and stability improvements.

Server Administration

  • Perform Windows Server maintenance, including patching, updates, and configuration management.
  • Support security and ATO remediation tasks aligned with organizational compliance requirements.
  • Monitor system health, logs, and alerts to ensure reliable server operations.

Azure Administration (or Familiarity with Azure Backend)

  • Manage or support Azure services related to identity, storage, SharePoint Online, and hybrid integrations.
  • Assist with monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of cloud-connected components.
  • Participate in initiatives that improve cloud governance, automation, and infrastructure efficiency.

General Infrastructure Operations

  • Respond to escalated operational tickets and resolve issues promptly.
  • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across security, networking, development, and data platforms.

 

The position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $112,000 – $136,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
