Information Technology Subject Matter Expert serves as an MIS Manager responsible for designing, developing, and implementing risk assessment and business continuity frameworks across a large, decentralized organization. Provides technical expertise and customer support for enterprise applications, automation solutions, open systems, and client/server environments, including multilingual, multiplatform, and multi-operating system infrastructures. Analyzes data processing and system requirements, plans system installations and upgrades, and develops applications leveraging Internet protocols and platforms. Evaluates emerging technologies and recommends solutions to meet business and operational needs. Designs, integrates, and troubleshoots network infrastructure, including routers, switches, routed networks, Frame Relay, static and dynamic routing, Ethernet and Token Ring topologies, network discovery, polling, and Cisco and 3Com technologies. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) 34; Enterprise storage and data protection: In-depth experience with SAN, NAS, Object Storage, Cohesity, NetBackup, NetApp, and Pure Storage. 34; Cloud storage and backup: Experience with AWS S3/Glacier, Microsoft Azure Blob/Backup, OCI, and related industry certifications. 34; DoD experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting DoD IT systems. 34; Storage architecture and disaster recovery: Minimum 3 years designing, deploying, and managing enterprise storage, storage topologies, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. 34; Storage networking: Strong knowledge of Fibre Channel/Brocade, iSCSI, FCoE, NFS, SMB/CIFS, routing, security, and backup replication networks. 34; Data protection and cybersecurity: Expertise in ransomware mitigation, immutability, encryption, DISA STIGs/IAVAs, risk mitigation, and audit support. 34; Project leadership: Proven ability to lead storage and data protection projects through design, implementation, migration, and sustainment while managing and mentoring technical teams. 34; Troubleshooting and optimization: Ability to diagnose complex storage performance and backup issues, identify root causes, and implement timely solutions. 34; Automation and scripting: Hands-on experience with storage/backup automation, IaC, PowerShell, Python, Bash, and automated provisioning and capacity management. 34; Operating systems and databases: Proficiency with Windows and RHEL storage management, including volume management, storage presentation, MPIO, backup agents, and backup/restoration of Oracle, SQL, and other enterprise databases. 34; Communication and documentation: Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts, collaborate across teams, and develop project plans, status reports, DR runbooks, job guides, and technical documentation. This includes evaluating, manufacturing, and integrating enterprise-level storage and backup software technologies. 34; Five (5) years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) management to include capabilities and technologies such as: Fiber Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) unified fabric, HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, and LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and file sharing / NAS (Network Addressable Storage). Hands-on experience with enterprise hierarchical storage system management; operation of enterprise backup/restore services, using software such as Cohesity DataProtect. 34; Five (5) years hands-on experience working with Department of War (DoW) IT systems. 34; DOD 8140 baseline certification - IAT Level II 34; Computing Environment certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or relevant certification. Minimum Clearance 34; Top Secret Physical Requirements 34; Required to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
