Project Overview:Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.
RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:In this role, you will manage a portfolio of craft professionals and superintendents, providing coaching and guidance on employee relations, benefits, policy interpretation, and workplace expectations. A major focus of the role will be conducting investigations - including interviewing witnesses, reviewing procedures and regulations, developing timelines, and compiling complete case files for final review. Your work will support strong supervisor-employee relationships while ensuring fair, consistent outcomes and compliance with labor standards. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:- Implements and administers Bechtel and IR department policies and procedures.
- Assist in compiling and preparing documentation on investigation reports and action plans
- Participation in investigations and tracking of open cases as they are evaluated, categorize and appropriately actioned.
- Tracking to closeout of corrective actions.
- Assists in delivering training packages to construction leadership team e.g. investigations and dispute resolution etc.
- Supports and coaches field supervision on managing performance of Craft Professionals, ensuring fairness and consistency across the project.
- Assist in the project reduction in force process. Assist with both Employee Dispute Resolution (EDR) and Ethics Teams in complex employee relations investigations.
- Collects, assembles and analyzes data for IR reports and compares to the company requirements.
- Assist in the Welcoming of new hires to Job Site.
- Other duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:- Knowledge of Employee Relations functions on field projects or in an office environment.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of IR, including project experience in an administrative or employee relation role for IR.
- Ability to independently anticipate problems, in an environment of rapidly changing priorities.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Intermediate to advanced skill using the Microsoft Office suite of software, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
