Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Oversee HRIS management encompassing employee data and performance metrics.
  • Coach and counsel managers regarding employee management.
  • Communicate HR policies and ensure compliance with all standards.
  • Conduct exit interviews and leverage insights to enhance employee retention strategies.
  • May supervise HR specialists, generalists, or coordinators as needed.
  • Coordinate closely with Payroll for accuracy and compliance checks.
  • Maintain accurate and updated employee documentation throughout changes and terminations.
  • Assist with ADA accommodations for employees as required.
  • Guide executive leadership on conflict resolution and HR procedures.

Overview

WGI is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing and dynamic team that can provide impeccable customer service and is committed to providing our staff with excellent HR support in Austin, Texas office.

In this position, you will provide human resources support and consultation across the organization, supporting associates, management, and the leadership team on human resource issues. You will be responsible for HR operations, employee relations, and employee engagement throughout the organization with offices in multiple states.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong relationships and influence at all levels throughout the organization
  • Oversee HRIS systems, including employee information data, performance management, rewards, and recognition
  • Work with managers on coaching and counseling associates
  • Partner with associates and management to communicate various Human Resource policies, procedures, standards, and overall HR compliance
  • Conduct exit interviews and gather data to successfully implement change, increasing retention
  • May provide supervision/manage Human Resource specialist, generalist(s), and coordinator
  • Coordinate with Payroll as a check/balance
  • AAP and EEOC reporting
  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company's mission and strategic vision.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the senior management of the division regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Provide the HR technical expertise required to successfully assess and integrate acquisitions
  • Provides advice and support for the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of HR information systems
  • Monitor and oversee employee orientation. Maintain expert knowledge of all employee programs. Conduct orientation as necessary.
  • Ensure employee documentation is accurate and up to date on employee changes, terminations, and other employee file information.
  • Assist associates with any ADA accommodations that may be needed.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the executive leadership team on employee problem-solving, conflict resolution, counseling, and disciplinary action procedures.
  • Ensure company guidelines are followed consistently on disciplinary procedures, dependability guidelines, and terminations.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints.
  • Work with senior management to prepare, issue, and follow through with Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Work with the executive leadership team to develop company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the SR HR Manager in developing annual compensation and goal modules.
  • Assist our WGI Ventures groups with HR support as needed.
  • Actively participate with the Vice Presidents of the different engineering divisions on staff engagement.
  • Provides guidance to the talent acquisition team, career development, retention, training, leadership development, and compensation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7+ years of prior Human Resource Generalist experience and 3 years of management experience
  • Current knowledge of employment regulations/laws and HR related trends and processes
  • Prior experience reporting from an HRIS system, experience with Ceridian Dayforce, and iCIMS is a strong plus
  • Payroll experience helpful
  • Microsoft Office to include Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with strong ethics
  • High energy with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-growth organization.
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, accountable, and passion for helping others and driving results
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Prior experience working in the A/E/C industry is a strong plus
