Full Job Description
The HR Business Partner oversees all human resources operations in their business unit/ assigned geographical location and ensures they are aligned with the business goals. Under the direction of the Business HR Director, critical to the success of the position is managing a professional, effective and proactive relationship with senior business stakeholders by understanding their key business drivers and priorities and providing an effective interface with the Functional Leaders to help achievement of these.

The ideal person will be qualified in HRM, should have solid experience with HR practices and employee management. You will communicate with the Leadership team and with senior managers to express new ideas and suggest solutions, considering budget limitations, the rights of consultative bodies and our company culture. Ultimately, you should be able to act as an expert on human resources management and organizational changes.

Main Responsibility Areas:

  • Understand the strategic needs of the company and its talent requirements. This will involve working with Business Unit Leaders/ Hiring Managers and managing the talent acquisition pipeline.
  • Manage hiring for assigned geographical location and work with external vendors to support the hiring needs.
  • Under the direction of the HR Director, providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff in their BU on HR matters, supporting managers in addressing organizational requirements.
  • Identifying talent needs, creating an appropriate strategy to meet those talent requirements.
  • Delivering key HR initiatives across the HR spectrum, including workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, talent management, pay and reward, employee engagement and performance management.
  • Identifying HR priorities and translating business requirements into effective HR practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives.
  • Analyzing and reporting HR information to support with benchmarking and the development of HR strategies and solutions. Ensuring that all internal and external reporting requirements are satisfied through the provision of management information.
  • Partner with the HR Director and other HRBPs to resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Ensuring that all internal and external reporting requirements are satisfied through effective maintenance of the HRIS, and the timely provision of management information.
  • Partner with Payroll Partners to provide accurate and timely inputs for Payroll processing
  • Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop policies and procedures.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits.
  • Oversee absence management for assigned geographic location
  • Ensures compliance with employee safety, welfare, and wellness education.

  • Certified HR Practitioner
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, master's qualification preferred.
  • Experience with Workday will be desirable

  • Proven work experience as an HR business partner
  • Strong HR knowledge and experience in Canada, US, Mexico employment law & practices
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
  • Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
  • Role is an individual contributor role that requires strong operational HR experience with a focus on execution


Eligibility Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in Canada

Location- Ontario Canada - Remote

The base salary for this position ranges from CAD 80,000 to CAD100,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.
