Job Purpose:

The Head of Production Control is accountable for shaping, leading, growing, and educating the production control team at Martin-Baker America, Inc. As a servant-based leader key accountabilities are: Master Scheduling, Sales & Operations Planning, Production & Materials Planning, Production Risk Management and you will interface directly with counterparts in production, quality, engineering and purchasing while guiding the team through the challenges of material shortages, new project onboarding, enhancing capacity and mitigating constraints. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with the senior leadership team and program managers to ensure daily operations align to the strategic vision, mission and values. Likewise this leader will embrace continuous improvements, strive for cost saving and improved efficiency measures that align with organizational objectives and goals.

Overview:

We're seeking a Head of Production Control to lead and develop the production control team while overseeing master scheduling, materials and production planning, and S&OP activities. This role requires strong ERP expertise, the ability to interpret and manage complex manufacturing requirements, and close collaboration with production, engineering, quality, purchasing, and senior leadership to ensure efficient, accurate, and strategically aligned operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and communicate the master production and service schedules.
• Develop and support a multi-year Production Control strategy aligned with growth and capacity.
• Guide team best practices in SAP S4 HANA, MRP, planning analysis, make/buy assessments, and system improvements.
• Lead Production Control's input into the monthly S&OP process, including capacity, inventory, risks, and recommendations.
• Partner with Master Data, Finance, and Inventory Control on impacts of inventory policies, variances, and scrap/rework.
• Manage key production KPIs including on-time delivery, shortages, backlog, schedule adherence, and constraint recovery.
• Ensure planning proficiency in line-of-balance, safety stock, MRP areas, work order execution, and exception management.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 additional years' experience in leu of a degree; ASCM (APICS) CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
• 10+ years in production control, production planning, master scheduling, materials planning, supply chain or related manufacturing discipline.
• 3+ years in people leadership.
• Significant ERP experience.
• Experience managing complex manufacturing schedules and implementing/leading S&OP or equivalent planning processes.
• Must adhere to all company policies and safety requirements.
