Full Job Description
About the role

Rippling Finance is Rippling's fastest-growing product suite - spanning spend management, corporate cards, reimbursements, procurement, bill pay, travel, business checking, investment accounts, vendor management, AI token controls, and multiple agentic teammates. The business unit is already operating at meaningful scale and doubling annually - while still enabling the autonomy, speed, ownership, and impact of a growth-stage startup.

We're looking for a Senior Director of Product Management to lead product strategy and execution for Rippling Finance. This person will own a broad, high-growth portfolio and manage a team of 8-9 product managers. They will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Risk, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Biz Ops teams to define the next chapter of Rippling Finance and build products that help companies control spend, automate finance operations, and make better business decisions.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a Series C scale product suite inside one of the fastest-growing software companies in the world - with the customer base, distribution, resources, and platform advantage of Rippling behind you.

What you will do

  • Partner with the GM to set the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Rippling Finance.
  • Lead and coach a team of senior product managers operating across a broad multi-product suite.
  • Drive the business from its current scale to the next order of magnitude by identifying the highest-leverage product, platform, and go-to-market opportunities.
  • Build products that work across both sales-led and self-serve / PLG motions, including experiences for smaller companies and more complex mid-market and enterprise customers.
  • Partner deeply with Engineering, Design, Biz Ops, Risk, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Support to deliver products that are technically excellent, commercially successful, and highly usable.
  • Continue to extend AI across the Finance product experiences, including areas like spend controls, accounting workflows, FP&A analysis, and automations.
  • Develop a sharp understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, market structure, and product gaps across modern finance software.
  • Balance strategic altitude with operational depth - moving fluidly from long-term suite strategy to product details, data models, workflows, and customer pain points.
  • Help define how Rippling's compound platform advantage can transform finance operations in ways standalone finance tools cannot.

What you will need

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with significant experience leading B2B software products.
  • Current or recent experience operating at Senior Director, VP, or equivalent scope; this role is not intended as a first-time step up into senior product leadership.
  • Experience managing product managers, with a strong preference for candidates who have led teams larger than 5 PMs.
  • A track record of owning strategy and execution for complex, high-impact product areas.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to reason across product, business model, customer workflow, data, risk, and operational complexity.
  • Experience building products in technical domains where accuracy, reporting, data quality, and workflow depth matter.
  • 1-3 years of experience creating AI-native products, preferably AI agents, rather than copilots.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in highly cross-functional environments.
  • A bias toward action, high ownership, and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals.
  • Strong product judgment: you can zoom out to define strategy and zoom in to debate edge cases, UX polish, data definitions, and launch tradeoffs.
  • A track record of using AI in your own workflow to improve the speed and quality of your output.

Nice to have

  • Fintech, spend management, payments, banking, procurement, accounting, FP&A, or related finance workflow experience.
  • Experience building products used in daily operational workflows.
  • Experience scaling products through hybrid sales-led and self-serve PLG motions.
  • Founder, GM, or business-owner experience where you were accountable for product strategy and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience in a highly technical B2B domain such as fintech, dev tools, ad tech, HR tech, or legal tech.
  • Familiarity with international product expansion, regulatory compliance, risk operations, and financial controls.

What success looks like

  • Rippling Finance has a clear, compelling product strategy for the next stage of growth.
  • The PM team is operating at a higher bar, with clarity, strong judgment, and fast execution.
  • AI is embedded into everything we build in ways that are thoughtful, useful, and innovative.
  • Cross-functional teams are aligned around the highest-priority bets and executing with urgency.
  • Your leadership leads to accelerated growth of the Suite and frequent, positive customer feedback.
