What you will be doingWe're looking for a Director of Growth Strategy to help determine where the company grows next. This person will sit at the intersection of strategy, market intelligence, business development, and executive leadership-translating defense priorities, customer demand, and competitive dynamics into actionable growth plans.
You should have the following- 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, defense strategy, business strategy, corporate development, or growth strategy
- Exceptional analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to synthesize large amounts of ambiguous information into clear recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
- Experience building quantitative models, market analyses, and strategic plans
- Comfortable working directly with senior military leaders, government stakeholders, and executives
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions without direct authority
- Able to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities evolve quickly
Nice to have- Experience with U.S. Department of Defense acquisition, budgeting, or force modernization.
- Understanding of defense procurement pathways and operational military organizations.
- Experience in management consulting, venture-backed technology companies, or defense technology startups.
- Familiarity with autonomous systems, drones, robotics, AI, or defense technology.
- MBA or equivalent strategic leadership experience.
US Salary Range$164,000-$177,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
