Global Director of Events
A24 is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Global Director of Events to lead the ideation, production, and execution of high-impact events across film, television, awards, brand, talent, and company initiatives. Based in Los Angeles and reporting to the Head of Specialty Marketing, this role will serve as a key leader within the company's experiential efforts-shaping event strategy from conception through managing a team and vendors, and ensuring events reflect A24's signature voice, creativity, and attention to detail.
Initial Responsibilities
• Lead strategy, planning, creative direction and execution for events across the A24 ecosystem-film premieres, awards season campaigns, film festivals, talent dinners, brand activations, and more
• Manage all event logistics: concepting, timelines, budgeting, vendors, venues, ticketing, staffing, travel, creative development, permits, and on-site execution
• Serve as lead producer for large-scale events; collaborate with internal departments (Marketing, Publicity, Brand, Distribution, International, Business Affairs, etc.) to ensure alignment and executional excellence
• Act as a brand steward to ensure all events reflect A24's creative vision and standards
• Build and manage relationships with external partners including sponsors and partners, venues, vendors, production teams, and talent representatives
• Oversee and mentor events staff and/or freelance teams during periods of high volume
• Track budgets, timelines, and recaps for each event; drive process improvements and cross-functional coordination
• Partner with internal stakeholders on the annual Corporate events and celebrations
• Oversee and avail opportunities for brand partnerships and sponsorships of events and serve as a liaison with external brand partners
• Serve as a key partner on festival planning and talent engagement, including Sundance, Cannes, Telluride, TIFF, etc.
• Optimize A24's Events work flow - create & maintain systems of organization and budgeting (ie: Google Drive, Dropbox and emerging technologies)
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in experiential marketing, publicity events, or film/TV entertainment events
• Deep knowledge of the film and television landscape, including awards season, talent handling, and industry events
• A strong understanding of film exhibition standards and technology
• Track record of leading complex, high-profile events from end to end-ideation through execution
• Strong production chops with impeccable attention to detail, time management, and creative problem-solving
• Creativity in spades and experience working within budgets without sacrificing quality and polish
• Excellent communicator and team collaborator; comfortable working across departments and leadership levels
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, independent environment
• Experience with union vendors, permitting processes, and festival/event credentialing a plus
• Flexible to travel and work nontraditional hours as needed during campaigns and productions
• Polished and effective communicator skilled at reporting progress and with years of experience managing others
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skill
• Humble, diligent and resourceful
• Ability to travel as needed
Our target salary range for this role is between $175,000 to $215,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
