We are seeking a dynamic Travelling General Manager to support two high-performing restaurant locations in East Bay California. This is a confidential opportunity to join a growing hospitality group known for its vibrant culture, commitment to excellence, and strong internal promotion pipeline.

Position Overview

The General Manager will play a key leadership role by providing operational and team support across two restaurants within close proximity. This position is ideal for a seasoned hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys variety in their workweek, and can adapt quickly to different team cultures and operational needs.

This role reports directly to a Regional Operations Manager and requires frequent travel between the two assigned locations.

Core Leadership Responsibilities
  • Act as the on-site leader in the absence of the store GM or when additional support is needed.
  • Drive performance across locations through training, coaching, and operational execution.
  • Reinforce company values and service standards while maintaining consistency and accountability.
  • Help lead new initiatives, stabilize leadership transitions, and support opening teams if needed.

Operational Focus Areas

Team Development & HR Support
  • Train and mentor management and hourly team members.
  • Assist in performance reviews, policy enforcement, and employee engagement efforts.
  • Help onboard and integrate new hires, including frontline and leadership roles.

Restaurant Operations
  • Ensure smooth daily operations by upholding service, quality, and cleanliness standards.
  • Address issues quickly and thoughtfully; implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Support in tracking metrics, auditing systems, and troubleshooting inconsistencies.

Financial Accountability
  • Support GMs in managing budgets and controlling labor, food, and beverage costs.
  • Help analyze P&Ls, identify trends, and implement cost-saving measures.

Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Ensure all team members maintain current certifications and follow procedures.
