As the OpenAI Partner Solution Lead at the Senior Principal level, you'll partner with cross-functional teams, including industry leaders, sales teams, and solution architects that leads to pre-sales efforts and deliver measurable outcomes. Together, we use advanced technologies and industry best practices to create scalable, tailored solutions that meet each client's unique needs.
We are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States who are within commuting distance of one of our offices. Priority markets include San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, DC, Dallas, and Houston.
What You'll Do- Strategic Solutioning: Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and statements of work (SOW) to drive business growth. Identify opportunities for Slalom in data and intelligence, both in existing and new environments.
- Architectural Excellence: Drive the adoption of modern, AI-powered data architectures, incorporating OpenAI technologies and cloud services, while ensuring excellence in delivery, client engagement, talent management, and operational performance.
- Subject Matter Expertise: As the OpenAI Partner Solution Lead, engage with clients, executives, and drive customer-focused solutions. Leverage your deep understanding of data and intelligence to deliver value.
- Technical Expertise: Architect, design, and develop end-to-end data and AI platforms (e.g., data pipelines, scalable storage, and generative AI solutions) leveraging cloud services, OpenAI Codex and OpenAI SDK agents, and OpenAI APIs, with a focus on integrating large language models and advanced analytics into production environments.
Revenue Impact: Senior Principal hires will have a responsibility of $1.5M - $3.5M
Utilization Expectation: Target 40% (may vary).
What You'll BringExperience:- 8+ years in consulting and/or data architecture, including architecting and engineering AI-driven solutions within cloud environments (Direct experience with OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI Service, or similar large language model platforms required; additional experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data and AI services is preferred).
- Strong background in data modeling, scalable data pipeline development, and implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices for AI/ML solution deployment and management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AI, generative AI, and machine learning, with hands-on experience operationalizing foundation models and integrating advanced language models into enterprise systems.
Technical Consulting Sales3+ years leading technical pre-sales and pursuit processes, collaborating with sales and consulting teams to develop and position custom AI-powered solutions that leverage OpenAI and other advanced cloud-based AI technologies.
Effective CommunicationDemonstrated skill in explaining complex AI and data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, effectively translating technical capabilities into clear business value and outcomes.
Business Development- Track record of growing client relationships and expanding account opportunities through the delivery of innovative AI and data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive growth through high-impact solution offerings and cross-functional team leadership. Requires expertise and credibility to influence across our global footprint.
Cloud & AI Platform ExpertiseDeep familiarity with cloud-native analytics and AI services, including data storage, security and permissions, private cloud, distributed databases, AI model deployment, virtual machines, and scalable parallel processing technologies.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, we are open to hiring at the Principal or the Senior Principal level, the base salary pay ranges are listed below with an annual bonus target.
Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, Phoenix, Portland and Salt Lake City:
Principal: $133,000 - $183,000
Senior Principal: $158,000 - $217,000
Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, Orange County, San Diego, Seattle and Washington, D.C.:
Principal: $145,000 - $200,000
Senior Principal: $172,000 - $237,000
San Francisco:
Principal: $158,000 - $218,000
Senior Principal: $188,000 - $258,000
Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time. We will accept applicants until August 18, or until the position is filled.
