About the role.

The Functional Engineer, Workforce Management is responsible for the design, configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of McCain's workforce management capabilities, with primary accountability for UKG Dimensions (Pro WFM). This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Operations, Manufacturing Leadership, Digital teams, and Application Management Services (AMS) partners to deliver enhancements, regulatory updates, deployments, integrations, and workforce management solutions that support McCain's global operations.

As a member of the global HR Technology team, the Functional Engineer serves as a workforce management subject matter expert, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, reliable, and aligned to business needs across scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, labor management, workforce compliance, and payroll processes.

What you'll be doing.

  • Product Configuration & Solution Delivery: Configure and maintain UKG Dimensions functionality supporting timekeeping, attendance, scheduling, accruals, labor tracking, and workforce compliance across global and country-specific designs. Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions and configuration designs. Lead configuration, testing, deployment, and validation activities for enhancements, regulatory changes, process improvements, and new module activation or adoption. Support implementation of new functionality and operational workforce management initiatives. Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration standards, process maps, and support materials.
  • Design Governance & Expert Enablement: Serve as a functional subject matter expert for McCain's UKG Dimensions global design footprint, configuration standards, and workforce management processes. Provide expert guidance to AMS partners, vendors, and internal teams on complex design questions, enhancement feasibility, regulatory impacts, and highly complex or critical issues requiring deep knowledge of McCain's workforce management landscape. Identify opportunities to strengthen design controls, documentation, knowledge transfer, and governance across the platform.
  • Workforce Management Process Expertise: Partner with the Business Process Owner, Manufacturing, Warehousing, HR, and Payroll teams to design and improve workforce management processes for 24/7 operational environments across multiple countries and regions, with process direction and ownership driven by the Business Process Owner. Support country-specific pay rule configuration, schedule templates, shift structures, labor levels, attendance programs, workforce policies, and local compliance requirements. Ensure solutions consider collective agreements, labor regulations, scheduling requirements, premiums, and organizational policies. Validate workforce data integrity and ensure accurate downstream payroll outcomes for new changes and enhancements.
  • Integration & Data Management: Design, enhance, and validate integrations between UKG Dimensions and connected platforms including SAP SuccessFactors, payroll systems, ServiceNow, data platforms, and time collection devices. Support interface design reviews, release testing, deployment validation, and issue analysis for complex integration scenarios. Ensure adherence to established governance, change management, and data quality standards.
  • Agile Delivery & Work Management: Manage assigned work through Jira and Agile delivery practices, including maintaining accurate epics, stories, tasks, dependencies, estimates, statuses, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans. Keep Agile work plans current so priorities, progress, risks, blockers, and release readiness are visible to product, delivery, and leadership stakeholders. Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, release planning, and routine delivery updates.
  • Continuous Improvement & Transformation: Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience, reduce manual effort, and increase automation. Analyze trends from service requests, enhancement demand, regulatory changes, and operational feedback to prioritize improvement opportunities. Support workforce management transformation initiatives, roadmap activities, deployments, and adoption planning. Contribute to broader HR Technology initiatives where workforce management expertise intersects with employee experience, service delivery, analytics, or digital transformation priorities.
