About the role3vGeomatics, a member of Orica Digital Solutions, a remote monitoring product leader, is looking for a Frontend Developer to join our innovative team. This role will focus on our web-based SaaS platform, Motionary, which our customers use to interact with and interpret the InSAR data we provide. We are looking for a team member to support and provide leadership in developing and maintaining 3vG's web tools, APIs, and product delivery systems. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in web development, API design, testing and development best practices.

Hybrid work schedule - 3 days in Vancouver office, 2 days remote.
What you will be doing- Collaborate in the development and delivery of software projects, actively participating in technical problem-solving and team collaboration.
- Build and enhance your understanding of design principles, software testing, and development best practices, with a focus on frontend web development.
- Work with RESTful APIs, developing familiarity with their design and security best practices.
- Develop applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks, with a primary focus on React/Redux (our chosen framework), as well as Angular or Vue.
- Gain hands-on experience with Docker and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to learning, addressing any knowledge gaps as needed.
- Operate within Agile methodologies to support the successful completion of projects.
What you will bring- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Software Development with some exposure to AWS Infrastructure.
Your qualifications- Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Additional Desired Skills- Some exposure to leadership or mentorship roles is an asset.
- Experience applying UX/UI design principles in publicly available products.
- Familiarity with Agile product management practices is an asset.
- Experience with GIS technologies or mapping is an asset.
- Exposure to Backend or Python development is an asset.
