Full Job Description
The Indianapolis Colts are seeking to hire a Football Systems Developer to work within a small team to analyze, develop, implement, and maintain a centralized player evaluation/analytics/football management system in support of Football Operations. As a member of a small agile team, the developer will collaborate with members of IT, Football Operations, Analytics, and outside vendors to understand, design, and develop applicable technology solutions. The developer must be adaptable to changing user needs to ensure continued delivery of business value.

This is a full-time position working onsite from our main offices at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. The successful candidate will embody the Colts core values in support of the team's mission to entertain, inspire and unite by winning the right way.

HIRING MANAGER Director of Football Information Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, and implement software applications, reporting systems, and tools in support of Football Operations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Scouting, Analytics, Coaching, Sports Performance, Training, Video) to advise on user functionality and determine technical approach and specifications
  • Conduct planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of systems
  • Utilize and maintain established SDLC processes, secure coding practices, and source control
  • Perform under aggressive timelines, high expectations, and in a high-intensity environment
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to increase delivery velocity while retaining full ownership of and accountability for the correctness, security, and maintainability of all code shipped
  • Stay abreast of current technical developments related to computer programming, software, AI, hardware, process management tools, and system design techniques
  • Required availability during on and off-hours for immediate, in-person, or remote technical support
  • Maintain a high level of quality assurance and fully document code and processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or New Media or combination of related education and experience may be considered
  • 3+ years web application development and programming experience
  • Working experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Demonstrable experience in development of complex data driven systems
  • Ability to analyze, design, and develop information systems utilizing current programming and database technologies
  • Required experience with C#/.NET Core, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Node Libraries, Git
  • Preferred experience with Azure, Snowflake, Python, AI/Machine Learning, and Jira
  • Interest in football and general understanding of the game's technical aspect
