Fleet Plant Support Electrical/I&C and Digital Manager

The Fleet Plant Support Electrical/I&C and DigitalManager will lead a group of engineers responsible for establishing/maintaining governance, asset management, technical support for the sites, leading fleet improvements, and oversight in their respective areas of responsibilities. Group activities involve providing governance and technical oversight for major component/plant reliability groups, identifying, and implementing industry best practices, developing/maintaining fleet procedures, setting component/process strategic vision, owning component asset management, and participation in industry working groups. Activities also include plant specific and fleet-wide initiatives to improve Plant Reliability. The Fleet Plant Support Electrical/I&C and DigitalManager is expected to facilitate and interface with site and fleet engineering management on equipment related decisions and process improvement related recommendations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job duties and responsibilities of the Fleet Plant Support Electrical/I&C and DigitalManager include:
  • Developing and Leading individuals across the fleet to improve performance and achieve their career goals.
  • Aggressive and continual pursuit of excellence in plant/equipment reliability across the fleet.
  • Achieving industry excellence in industry indicators measuring equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Developing and maintaining life cycle management plans for major components.
  • Providing a fleet perspective in supporting resolution of deficiencies and issues.
  • Driving plant specific and fleet-wide improvements to Plant Reliability.
  • Actively engaging in Industry efforts that support equipment reliability.
  • Engaging with the industry to identify and incorporate best practices.
  • Interfacing with the INPO and other organizations on inspections and review issues resolution.
  • Support the Emergency Response Organization. Must live within 1 hour of the office and Emergency Operating Facility.
  • Act as Birmingham Engineering Duty Manager on a scheduled basis.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or a PE license.

Experience
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of power plant experience is required for this position with nuclear power plant experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous supervision experience is desired with greater than three (3) years strongly preferred.
  • Site System, Process, or Component Engineering experience is strongly preferred.
  • Electrical, I&C and/or Digital experience is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of the INPO AP-913 Equipment Reliability process is strongly preferred.
