  • Lead regular Maintenance and Operations meetings, both in-person and via MS Teams.
  • Support the Maintenance Strategy program by updating PMs and creating necessary PM Change Requests.

E&I Maintenance Planner- Plant Miller

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be directly accountable to the Daily Planning Team Leader and indirectly accountable to the Maintenance Manager with regard to maintenance planning. This position is responsible for detailed work plans, scheduling of work activities and providing coordination for Daily, FOMO, and Planned Outage work for the APC Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance crew. This position will provide direct support to maintenance crew(s) by providing planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordination for maintenance activities on plant equipment. The Planner will provide backup to the other members of the Daily Planning team, including the Scheduler and Maximo Business Unit Administrator.

Job Requirements
  • 10 or more years of Generation Plant experience preferred, minimum of 5 years required.
  • 5 years in Power Generation Maintenance is required, with 2 years supporting E&I preferred
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Advanced proficiency in MAXIMO (including CiM Visual Planner), Microsoft Office/365, and Enterprise Solutions is required.
  • Experience interacting with vendors and contractors, including material and service support, is required.
  • Budget management/tracking experience is a plus.
  • Multi-OpCo/Sites is a plus.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead expedited solutions to any Safety/Safety Related, Compliance, or Asset Risk issues identified.
  • Review Condition Reports and be actively engaged in determining the required resolution, responsible team(s), and priority.
  • Identify, plan, and schedule daily, FOMO, and Planned Outage work that include complete work packages that include all required elements (materials, services, support, etc.)
  • Develop and assist with maintaining internal shop schedules as part of the 4-week plan by scheduling maintenance activities for the teams you support, maintenance metrics as a tool to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide continuous, direct support to the teams you support, with a 4customer service4 mindset.
  • Work directly with System Owners and Outage Planning, providing reciprocal support.
  • Be an integral part of the regular Maintenance/Operations meetings, including preparing and leading the meetings (live and MS Teams)
  • Actively support Maintenance Strategy program, including identifying changes required for PMs and creating the required PMCRs.
  • Work rotating on-call duty, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships; strong interpersonal skills capable of interacting with various team members (supervision, contractors, vendors, management, and staff peers).
  • Ability to apply sound judgment to personnel and technical issues; effectively handle crisis situations.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Self-motivation and demonstrated initiative is crucial for this position.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, facilitation, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be available for 24-hour call out.
