Job Summary
Seeking a Firewall Engineer with 2-5 years of experience supporting Palo Alto firewall and VPN environments. This role is responsible for administering roles and access privileges within the Palo Alto environment and supporting secure remote access across the organization. The engineer will primarily manage access request queues, ensure timely and accurate provisioning, and contribute to the design and implementation of new roles and group-based access structures. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders while working independently in a high-volume, task-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer roles and access privileges within the Palo Alto environment.
• Support remote access and VPN connectivity across the organization using Prisma Access.
• Support secure remote access using Prisma Browser.
• Manage and process access request queues, ensuring timely and accurate provisioning.
• Design and implement new roles and group-based access structures as required.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand application requirements and align appropriate access.
• Support access changes resulting from organizational and user group changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall, VPN, and remote access issues.
• Maintain accurate access configurations and follow established security and operational procedures.
• Balance stakeholder engagement with focused, independent work in a high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
• 2-5 years of experience in firewall engineering or network security administration.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Experience with Prisma Access VPN.
• Experience with Prisma Browser.
• Experience with Strata Cloud Manager.
• Strong understanding of access roles, privileges, and group-based access structures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage high-volume, task-driven workloads.
