Compensation: $115,000 - 135,000 plus up to 5% bonus, capped at 150%

Job Summary

Join our network security team and take responsibility for protecting and evolving a global enterprise firewall landscape in a dynamic international environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Firewall Operations
  • Administration and operation of enterprise firewall environments across global cloud, data center, and branch locations
  • Planning, coordination, and execution of firewall rollouts, migrations, and lifecycle activities
  • Ensuring compliance with defined SLAs, including response and resolution times during ticket handling
  • Creation, implementation, and documentation of changes within the scope of the firewall service
  • Development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and security documentation
  • Configuration and implementation of firewall rules, NAT policies, and routing adjustments
  • Regular review of existing firewall rule sets and execution of policy clean-ups to ensure security and performance best practices
  • Support in troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity and security-related incidents
  • Collaboration with internal teams and international stakeholders to ensure stable and secure network operations

Project Support & Design
  • Participate in design and implementation for business-driven projects
  • Assist in planning and deploying new sites, security Zones and upgrades
  • Contribute to firewall and segmentation design based on security requirements
  • Work with senior engineers/architects on solution design and validation
  • Implement and maintain network security controls and best practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with infrastructure, systems, and application teams
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on incidents and project progress
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while taking ownership of resolution


Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

Work Experience:
  • Proven experience in administering enterprise firewall environments, ideally with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • Strong networking knowledge, particularly in Internet technologies, routing protocols, IPv4, and IPv6
  • Solid understanding of IT security principles, network security architectures, and best practices
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based service management processes is an advantage
  • Structured, service-oriented working style with a strong focus on quality and reliability
  • Ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders in a professional environment
  • Fluent English and good German language skills, both written and spoken

Education:
  • University or College Degree in the technology-related field or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in Security / Firewall Vendors


Working Conditions
  • Safety Shoes/boots are mandatory on the Production/Manufacturing floor;
  • Limited travelling is required;
  • Providing Level 3 support after-hours;
  • Available to work flexible hours and weekends to conduct maintenance and upgrades;
