POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The New Homes division is seeking an experienced and energetic Financial Planning & Operations Manager to manage financial functions for the company's residential solar new homes business. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position on a fast-growing team with an opportunity to contribute to overall strategy and success of the business. Major responsibilities include financial planning (financial model development and maintenance, financial close, and P&L and cash flow forecasting) and financial operations (purchase order issuance, invoicing, collections, and disbursements) to support the New Homes business.

In this role you will need to be creative and collaborative with problem solving skills and execute team-wide initiatives, working closely with the New Homes Sales/BD (Business Development), Field/Operations, and accounting teams. So, the ideal candidate is a motivated team player who is both detail-oriented and able to contribute to overall strategic vision. Communicating with internal/external stakeholders is key, and experience in the solar and/or finance industry is a strong plus. This position requires full-time onsite work at our office location in San Francisco.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial close, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Forecast P&L and cash flow, providing insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Develop funding and capital plans to support business growth, ensuring sufficient liquidity and optimal capital structure .

Financial Operations
  • Issue and manage purchase orders (POs), coordinating with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Issue invoices to customers and partners, tracking billing accuracy, and timing.
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections, monitoring outstanding balances and following up on payments.
  • Process accounts payable disbursements, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and partners.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or another business-related field with a minimum of 5+ years of professional work experience including 3+ years of progressive professional work experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling).
  • Self-motivated leadership and team player and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (verbal and written).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • CPA or CFA certification
  • Experience in the solar and/or finance industry
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance productivity and analysis.
