Lead the planning, execution, and evolution of high-impact retail pop-ups, live events, cultural programming, and community experiences within a premier retail-focused mixed-use property in downtown Manhattan.
Oversee the full lifecycle of a portfolio of programming-from high-visibility brand activations and seasonal campaigns to concerts, fitness, family programming, tenant-facing events, and sponsorships.
This role requires a blend of client management and an understanding of operational and production feasibility and constraints inside the space.
Acting as the day-to-day contact for the client, this person will work with client team to lead discussions that shape programming, manage stakeholders, present and manage budgets and make recommendations for resourcing client asks.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end production and execution of retail pop-ups, live events, community programming, tenant activations, sponsorship integrations, and large-scale seasonal experiences across the property.
• Lead the operationalizing of the relationship through building production timelines, maintaining meeting calendars, building and maintaining budgets and attending meetings on behalf of the SoHo team
• Partner with the client to develop and deliver an annual and seasonal programming calendar that balances tenant needs, operational realities, and budget.
• Serve as the senior production lead and primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, while acting as a key resource for brand partners, retailers, artists, agencies, vendors, and other external partners.
• Learn and understand client compliance requirements in regard to ways of working and operations on the property.
• Lead cross-functional teams of producers, coordinators, site staff, vendors, fabricators, technical partners, and event personnel as is appropriate for each type of activation.
• Translate creative and programming concepts into comprehensive production plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and staffing.
• Oversee development of site plans, run-of-show documents, and operational requirements.
• Oversee the production of physical environments and event elements, including temporary installations, retail builds, signage, staging, scenic, lighting, AV, furniture, catering, entertainment, and digital or interactive experiences.
• Ensure all events and activations meet property standards and applicable permitting, insurance, safety, accessibility, and city or venue requirements.
• Maintain a clear understanding of site-specific operational planning, including crowd flow, security, guest services, emergency procedures, traffic, load-in/load-out, noise restrictions, and related logistics.
• Evaluate event performance through attendance, stakeholder and guest feedback, operational learnings, and budget outcomes, using those insights to improve future programming.
• Partner with internal sponsorship consultant and other stakeholders to align programming opportunities with sponsor objectives, ensuring seamless integration that delivers value for sponsors while preserving the integrity and intent of the original program.
What You Bring to the Table:
• 5+ years of experience producing large-scale live events, experiential activations, retail programming, cultural events, or community-focused experiences.
• Proven success leading complex, high-visibility programs with multiple stakeholders, overlapping timelines and significant operational requirements
• Experience working within retail, hospitality, entertainment, placemaking, or destination-focused environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of live event production, scenic fabrication, AV, lighting, staging, entertainment, staffing, permitting, security, and site operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in budget development, financial management, vendor negotiation, contract oversight, and cost-control strategies.
• Exceptional project management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to lead project teams and build trust across clients, tenants, vendors, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
• A strong instinct for guest experience, with the ability to balance creative ambition, audience needs, safety, accessibility, and operational realities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours based on the event and programming calendar.
• Ideally located in the NYC metro area.

Pay Range
$105,000.00 Annually to $140,000.00 Annually
