Executive Assistant to CEO & CFO

Location: San Jose, CA

Position Overview

Lumentum is seeking a highly strategic, proactive, and discreet Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. This role operates at the center of the organization, requiring exceptional judgment, business acumen, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, global environment. The ideal candidate is a trusted partner who anticipates needs, drives operational efficiency, and enables executive focus on high-impact initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support
  • Manage complex calendars for the CEO and CFO, prioritizing critical meetings and optimizing time across multiple time zones
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries, visas, and expense reporting
  • Serve as a gatekeeper and liaison, managing communications with internal and external stakeholders, including Board members, investors, and senior leadership
  • Prepare executives for meetings by developing agendas, briefing materials, presentations, and follow-ups

Strategic Coordination
  • Partner with the CEO and CFO on key initiatives, tracking priorities and ensuring timely execution
  • Support Board of Directors activities, including meeting logistics, materials preparation, and coordination with Legal and Investor Relations
  • Assist with earnings preparation, investor meetings, and financial communications in collaboration with Finance and IR teams

Operations & Communication
  • Draft, edit, and manage high-level correspondence, presentations, and reports
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, offsites, and company-wide events
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and ensure alignment across executive leadership

Confidentiality & Judgment
  • Handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism
  • Exercise sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving on behalf of the executives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience supporting C-level executives, preferably in a public company or technology environment
  • Proven experience supporting multiple senior executives simultaneously (CEO/CFO experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, Board processes, and financial cycles (e.g., earnings, forecasting)

Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong business acumen and ability to anticipate executive needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build relationships across all levels
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, and expense/reporting systems

Pay Range:
P70-USA-1 :$130,850.00 - $186,900.00
