Full Job Description
This is a new position and an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to one of Flagship Pioneering's Executives. The ideal candidate will leverage a broad range of skills with a high degree of professionalism and discretion in handling a wide variety of comprehensive responsibilities. Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills to effectively manage administrative tasks. Requires the ability to proactively build organizational knowledge and relationships and think critically and creatively to support problem-solving and ensure strong communication flow and follow-through. This is a hybrid position, with expectations to be in person at HQ (Cambridge, MA) on a weekly basis.

As an Executive Assistant you will:
  • Coordinate executive calendars for work related to the operational day-to-day activities of an ever changing, venture creation firm.
  • Responsible for proactively coordinating meetings, creating agendas, and managing internal and external communications on behalf of the department.
  • Collaborate with other Executive Assistants and administrative staff members to coordinate calendars, manage requests, and facilitate events. Provide back-up coverage to other Executive Assistants as necessary.
  • Manage projects for a variety of initiatives that foster intradepartmental collaboration, and advancing the priorities of the department.
  • Coordinate worldwide travel plans including expense reporting and reimbursement.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 plus years of experience in providing support to high-level executives preferably at the "C" suite level.
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, demanding, and fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptionally organized with keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled at multi-tasking with ability to shift focus and priorities while under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; strong ability to inform and engage through written communications.
  • Highly interpersonal with effective relationship-building skills.
  • Professional, positive manner, with experience in a role requiring a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness; ability to follow-through and close loops.
  • Strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit to accommodate high level of responsibility and multiple priorities.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and interested in learning within a multifaceted, fast-paced, fast-growth organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office 2010 (Word, PowerPoint, some Excel) with Advanced Outlook organizational and calendaring skills
  • Ability to work in our Cambridge, MA office on a consistent basis, likely Monday through Thursdays to support the Executives' needs.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $145,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Flagship Pioneering currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
