Day to Day Job Duties:- Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT solutions to support enterprise data integration, migration, and reporting requirements.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable ETL workflows, data mappings, and transformation logic.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems into data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical platforms.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, database administrators, and reporting teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities to support accurate and reliable data movement processes.
- Monitor ETL jobs and workflows, troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize ETL performance by tuning SQL queries, workflows, transformations, and database objects.
- Develop technical specifications, source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and operational documentation.
- Support data migration, data conversion, and system integration projects across enterprise applications.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
- Work within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, compliance, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Provide production support for ETL processes and resolve data-related incidents within established SLAs.
Basic Qualifications:- Minimum 5 years of experience in ETL Development, Data Integration, and Data Warehousing projects.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IICS, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, Ab Initio, Matillion, or equivalent platforms.
- Minimum 4 years of experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing environments.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact Tables, Dimension Tables, and Data Modeling.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, Teradata, or DB2.
- Experience integrating data from APIs, flat files, XML, JSON, cloud applications, and enterprise systems.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Redshift, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Google BigQuery.
- Experience with data quality validation, data governance, metadata management, and data reconciliation processes.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, or SVN.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple deliverables in fast-paced environments.
- Travel may be required based on project and client needs (typically up to 10-20%).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
Nice to Have:- Certifications in Informatica, Snowflake, Azure Data Engineering, AWS Data Analytics, Databricks, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, PySpark, Hive, or Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with data lake architecture and modern cloud data platforms.
- Knowledge of Python, Shell Scripting, or Java for ETL automation and data processing.
- Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Cognos.
- Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance solutions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks for ETL development.
- Experience supporting enterprise analytics, regulatory reporting, and data migration initiatives.
- Experience working in consulting environments with global stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Knowledge of financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, or telecommunications data domains.
U.S. On Location / Hybrid NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $70/hr to $80/hr. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
