ABOUT THE JOB

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Training Administrator is responsible for the administration, coordination, governance, and continuous improvement of the company's EHS training program. This role ensures that required environmental, health, safety, and associated regulatory training is developed, maintained, assigned, tracked, documented, and completed across the organization.

This position is not responsible for delivering instructor-led training. Instead, the EHS Training Administrator partners with EHS subject matter experts, operational leaders, and Learning & Development to ensure all required training is accurate, compliant, current, and effectively managed throughout the employee lifecycle.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Serve as the enterprise administrator for the company's EHS training program.
  • Develop and maintain the corporate EHS training matrix for all job roles and locations.
  • Coordinate the development and revision of EHS training content with subject matter experts, regulatory specialists, and instructional designers.
  • Ensure all required training aligns with applicable federal, state, local, and company requirements.
  • Assign required training to employees through the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Monitor training completion rates and proactively follow up with managers and employees to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation for regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal audits.
  • Track initial, recurring, annual, and refresher training requirements.
  • Support the creation of compliance dashboards, reports, and metrics for EHS leadership and business leaders.
  • Conduct routine audits of training records to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage training version control and document retention.
  • Coordinate training requirements related to new equipment, new processes, facility changes, and regulatory updates.
  • Continuously improve training processes, workflows, reporting, and system utilization.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for EHS training systems and related technologies.
  • Support internal and external audits of training by providing trainee qualifications, completion status and training materials, as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience administering compliance or EHS training programs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory training requirements.
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Experience managing training records in a regulated environment.
  • Experience developing interactive training content for in-person and digital learning.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and recordkeeping abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across a large organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with LMS platforms such as Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, Workday Learning, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Experience developing training matrices and compliance dashboards.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, 45001, 9001 and AS 9100 management system principles.
  • Professional certifications such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) are a plus.
  • Natural tendency towards challenging the status quo to find new and novel ways to improve EHS management systems

US Salary Range

$97,000-$129,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
