HPIH Supervisor

Job Summary:

Are you passionate about keeping people and environments safe while working on the cutting edge of nuclear innovation? As the HP-IH Supervisor at Centrus Energy, you'll lead a skilled team of Health Physics-Industrial Hygiene Technicians to ensure the protection of our people, facilities, and the planet. You'll blend science, leadership, and safety know-how-monitoring radiation, chemical, and physical agents while guiding your team through meaningful work that supports our mission of fueling a carbon-free future. What You Will Do:

You'll lead, mentor, and supervise Health Physics-Industrial Hygiene Technicians, ensuring safe, compliant, and effective monitoring of radiation and industrial hygiene conditions across the site. You'll plan and oversee workplace surveys, analyze environmental data, and recommend corrective actions when hazards are detected. Your expertise will guide experiment planning, equipment selection, and data evaluation to ensure safe and efficient operations. You'll also play a key role in developing operating procedures, conducting investigations, and providing technical guidance to management-all while upholding Centrus's culture of safety and excellence.

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience as a Health Physics or Industrial Hygiene Technician or HPT or IHT Supervisor (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 2+ years of experience at a uranium facility (enrichment, fuel fabrication, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all HP-IH Technician task qualifications and maintain them within six months of assignment
  • Successful completion of Health Physics Academic Training, equivalent accredited continuing training (e.g., INPO), Industrial Hygiene training, or NRRPT registration
  • Experience supervising teams in regulated nuclear or high-hazard environments
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" Clearance

Pay:

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $67,564 - $135,128.This position is Incentive Eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
