Full Job Description
Role description:

We are currently searching for a Water Engineer to support our team in Wakefield, MA . We are looking for dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues. Collaborating with our experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact, and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.

Role accountabilities:

The Water Engineer will possess a strong foundation in engineering concepts and theories related to water, wastewater, and stormwater management. You will need to have excellent technical aptitude and be familiar with various software tools such as CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, EPANET, and Modflow, which are beneficial for project work. You will need to be skilled in evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting the management of projects involving water treatment, wastewater treatment, and stormwater conveyance including pipelines and pumping facilities. Additionally, you will need to provide valuable support in project management efforts including managing project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables.

As part of our team, you will engage in the full cycle of sustainability and resilience project management, from assessment and development to ongoing support. You will exercise judgement when working on engineering tasks, including making critical decisions on project details and selecting suitable engineering solutions. Fieldwork duties are also crucial, involving activities like site visits, water quality analysis, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, flow monitoring set-up, and monitoring technology evaluations, plant operations information, process troubleshooting, and optimization. Additionally, you will support asset management projects by conducting data analytics, performance evaluations, and assessments to optimize performance of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities. Your work will also include preparing various reports and materials, participating in client meetings, and utilizing digital tools to boost collaboration and enhance project delivery such as SharePoint, BIM, PowerBI, and Augmented Reality, as well as designing and managing databases and cloud-based computing services.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
  • Familiarity/ experience with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $65,578 - $98,366 / per year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
