We're looking for an experienced sales leader who understands the pharmacy benefits and patient affordability space. This person will build relationships, open doors, and close deals across companies involved in drug discount cards, cash-pay pricing, patient assistance programs, eHealth platforms, specialty pharmacies, and hub services that support copay coupons and vouchers.
The ideal candidate knows the industry and has connections to C-Suite level individuals in market leading organizations. They should also understand PBMs, health plans, and healthcare technology platforms
What You Will Get To Do:- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across discount card companies, cash-pay pricing platforms, patient assistance organizations, eHealth companies, and specialty pharmacies.
- Develop a go-to-market plan and drive new partnership opportunities.
Work With Key Industry Leaders- Use your industry network to connect with decision-makers at target companies.
- Lead conversations about patient affordability solutions, benefit design, pricing, and related technology.
Sell Solutions, Not Just ProductsUnderstand customer needs and match them to the right solutions.- Work closely with product, tech, and operations teams to build proposals and win deals.
Stay Current on Market Trends- Keep up with the latest in PBMs, health plan benefits, discount card pricing, and patient affordability programs.
- Bring back insights that help shape strategy and product development.
Negotiate & Close Deals- Lead contract discussions, pricing talks, and partnership terms.
- Manage long and complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
What You BringIndustry Experience8-12+ years of sales or business development experience in:
- PBMs or health plans
- Drug discount card or cash-pay pricing platforms
- Pharma hub or patient assistance services
- Specialty pharmacy
- Digital health or healthcare technology
- Own the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, solution design, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Consistently meet or exceed annual revenue and pipeline targets
- Drive new logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Must be willing to travel 75% of the time and live near a major airport
Industry Connections- Existing relationships or strong familiarity with senior leaders across affordability ecosystem.
Sales Skills- Proven ability to close large, complex deals.
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to executives.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and navigate complex organizations.
Knowledge & Technical Understanding- Basic understanding of:
- Pharmacy claims and NCPDP standards
- Copay, voucher, and discount card workflows
- Eligibility, pricing, and benefit coordination
- API integrations and tech-enabled healthcare platforms
