As Engineer 1, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring an exceptional customer experience in the Anti-spam Engineering team within the CNOE organization. 

The Engineering team is responsible for management of the Antispam platform and support Security and fraud prevention team in investigation of spam and fraudulent activities.  Responsibilities also include automating the application lifecycle and effectiveness within N&T. This includes developing a thorough understanding of application functionality, creating automation for capacity management, performance monitoring, Anti-Spam blocking via AI tools/Automation, and product enhancements. You will also collaborate with Operations, vendors, and network personnel to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

● Developing and maintain capacity demand models.

● Automating and generate application performance generative reports/models.

● Collecting, analyze, and automate performance usage and investigate Spam data to identify trends and patterns.

● Coordinating engineering and implementation activities for growth and expansion.

● Evaluating/automate Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation from vendors to ensure operational efficiencies/automation.

● Gaining comprehensive insight into network assets and their future development by automating systems to rapidly assess vulnerability impact and identify hardware/software reaching End-of-Life or End-of-Support.

● Reporting capacity metrics to facilitate platform growth and support.

● Generating timely and accurate reports for strategic management decision-making and to highlight critical issues.

What we're looking for... 

You'll need to have...

● ​Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

● Expertise in designing and constructing complex, scalable web applications and services, coupled with a strong grasp of software architecture principles, design patterns, and Microservices, basic network principles, basic Unix principles.
● Expertise in Data Analytics using Splunk and/or Google suites, Elastic/Opensearch.

Even better if you have one or more of the following...

● 1 or more years experience in distributed systems, virtualization, and containerization (e.g. OpenShift, Openstack or Kubernetes).

● 1 or more years experience with GIT/Source code management.

● Proficiency in any of the software programming languages such as Ansible, Python, Bash scripting, Java script, React, Postgres, SQL, HTML , CSS, GIT, Gitlab, CI/CD. UI/UX design.
● Experience operating within an Agile development environment and AI tools like Claude AI.

● Experience in 4G/5G wireless and/or previous experience with telecommunications, big data software.
