Preferred Locations: Ottawa, Windsor, Hamilton, Mississauga, Toronto. Markham or Oshawa - Hybrid Setting
Job Details: Full-Time, Permanent Position, Current Vacancy

Wage Transparency: The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

About the Role
This role is responsible for managing complex employee relations issues, conducting investigations, providing guidance on performance and conduct matters, supporting accommodations and leaves, and ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment legislation

What You'll Do
• Serve as the key subject matter expert for employee relations matters, including workplace conflict, performance concerns, misconduct, policy violations, accommodations, attendance, and investigations.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through effective coaching, consultation, and problem-solving.
• Partner with leaders to manage performance, resolve workplace issues, and drive engagement.
• Provide guidance regarding disability management, workplace accommodations, absence management, return-to-work plans, and leave administration.
• Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary processes with professionalism and discretion.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment legislation, human rights requirements, and workplace standards to reduce organizational risk.
• Develop and deliver training for leaders on employee relations topics, investigations, performance management, workplace respect, and policy compliance. • Collaborate with Employment Law and Compliance teams to mitigate risk and ensure best practice.
• Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree with course work in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Typically, 5+ years of professional experience in a HR role with hands-on experience in employee relations and investigations.
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal & provincial respective employment laws.
• Ability to influence and build trust with leaders at all levels.
• Strong oral and written communication skills including strong listening skills.
• Strong client presence with project management, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Well organized, with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously.
• Proficiency with MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence.
• Ability to multitask.
• Experience working in a shared services environment.
• Team player with a strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders or various levels from entry-level to senior leadership.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
