Full Job Description
Qualifications:
  • Our physicians are board-certified in emergency medicine and bring many years of leadership and executive-level experience.
  • 5+ years of emergency medicine leadership experience required.
  • A demonstrated history of executive-level leadership and organizational influence.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A reputation for sound judgment, strong diagnostics, and calm, rational problem-solving.
  • The adaptability to lead effectively in diverse hospital settings and organizational cultures.
  • A passion for mentoring teams and helping organizations achieve their highest potential.

Scheduling:
  • Full-time travel Monday through Thursday.
  • 100% onsite support at partner hospitals when assigned.
  • Work with healthcare teams and executives in communities across the United States.
  • Live anywhere in the country while serving hospital partners nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide executive leadership for emergency medicine teams across diverse healthcare environments, ensuring high-quality clinical and operational performance.
  • Serve as the strategic liaison between Sound Physicians, hospital executives, clinical leaders, service line partners, and community stakeholders, building trusted, collaborative relationships.
  • Lead operational and clinical improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, patient outcomes, and overall program performance.
  • Direct and support emergency medicine teams while managing hospital partner relationships, stakeholder expectations, and organizational priorities.
  • Deliver experienced administrative leadership during transitions, growth opportunities, and periods of operational complexity, adapting effectively to programs of varying size and maturity.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and alignment with Sound Physicians' mission, values, and leadership philosophy.
  • Recognized as a respected, solutions-oriented leader with strong diagnostic skills, sound judgment, and a calm, adaptable approach to solving complex organizational and clinical challenges.

Living and Working Nationwide:
  • Our team members live nationwide and travel to our hospital partner sites across the country.

Rewards and Compensation:
  • Annual compensation of $435,000.
  • Our National Ambassador Physicians' airfare and lodging are paid for by Sound.
  • Sound's licensing team will help manage the procurement of any state licenses needed to work at one of our hospital partner locations. We'll cover the cost of these licenses.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
