Full Job Description
Electrical Test Supervisor

As the Electrical Test Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading our team of electrical test specialists and technicians through integration and test of Astranis's satellites, both current generation and new! This includes fire-fighting and escalating issues, prioritizing test operations, and raising our technical and quality bars. The Electrical Test Supervisor would be in charge of hiring, mentoring, and training new specialists and technicians and ensuring all test operations go as smoothly as possible as we scale our satellite production.

Role
  • Manage and develop a team of test specialists and technicians both technically and professionally by providing mentorship, development opportunities, and oversight
  • Be the primary point-of-contact for all things test on the production floor and manage workloads for all specialists in order to achieve weekly goals
  • Ensure consistent and cross-functional specialist training among the whole team
  • Communicate and escalate needs and blockers upwards and laterally
  • Aid in firefighting, issue resolution, schedules, and shift leadership
  • Work with other leaders to stay aligned on priorities, resource needs, and timelines
  • Hire, onboard, and train new specialists in our day-to-day operations and responsibilities
  • Lead the charge on hardware and software development projects that streamline our satellite production.
  • Take ownership and maintain specialist work areas
Requirements
  • Two years experience with a Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline or 4 years total equivalent technical experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor communications to your audience
  • Demonstrated ability to be a leader among peers
  • Experience testing and debugging complex electrical systems
  • Experience training others and implementing processes to raise the overall bar in key technical areas such as software, hardware, debug, and safety.
  • Must be willing to work all shifts and/or weekends as needed, including support of 24/7 operations for critical integration and test campaigns.

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.

Base Salary

$140,000-$185,000 USD

U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
