Job DescriptionAutomation systems company in the Atlanta metro area needs an Electrical Controls Engineer.
- Using your knowledge of EPLAN (preferred but not required), you will work on the with cross-functional teams to develop control system architectures for material handling equipment and robotic applications.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure the manufacturing of electrical cabinets adheres to NEC (NFPA70), UL508/UL508A, and other applicable industry standards.
- Generate documentation for subsystems including the electrical cabinets.
- Design and program Safety PLCs, HMIs, and/or motion control systems.

QualificationsREQUIREMENTS- Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
- Five years of experience in robotics, industrial automation, or electrical controls engineering.
- Experience with industrial electrical design and PLC programming with Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, or Siemens controls.
- Proficiency with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, TCP/IP, MODBUS, IO-Link
- Position requires some travel to domestic customer sites about 20-30%
