Electrical CAD Designer Pay Rate: $73/hr on W2 Desired Start Date: August 17, 2026 Desired End Date: August 16, 2027
reate and maintain electrical models, wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts using approved CAD software.
Utilize CAD software including, but not limited to, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Inventor, KiCad, or other project-approved software.
Review and revise designs based on engineering feedback, design reviews, and approved engineering changes.
Develop accurate and detailed electrical drawings in accordance with project requirements.
Support the creation and modification of two-dimensional and three-dimensional electrical and electromechanical designs as required.
Generate bills of materials (BOMs), wire and cable lists, and supporting documentation required for manufacturing and assembly activities.
Prepare documentation with sufficient detail to support manufacturing, assembly, testing, or installation activities.
Develop and maintain documentation required for fabrication and assembly.
Incorporate approved engineering changes into manufacturing and assembly documentation.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, project managers, and other designated project personnel to ensure designs meet technical requirements.
Support integration of electrical designs with applicable product assemblies.
Coordinate electrical and mechanical design interfaces.
Participate in design coordination meetings and design reviews as requested by the designated Technical Representative.

Required Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience producing electrical CAD designs using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad, or equivalent software.
Experience developing and maintaining revision-controlled engineering documentation within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles, electrical components, schematic development, and wiring practices.
Familiarity with applicable industry standards and codes relevant to electrical design activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large-scale engineering, research, industrial, infrastructure, or technology projects.
Experience using Autodesk Inventor for three-dimensional electrical or electromechanical design.
