Qualifications

• 8+ years of safety/EHS experience, ideally in large capital or construction projects.
• Familiarity with DOE O 413.3B or comparable regulatory requirements preferred.
• Knowledge of construction, industrial, electrical, hazardous materials, and radiological hazards.
• Proven expertise in JHA/JSA, hazard analysis, WPC, and field safety.
• Experience in DOE, nuclear, accelerator, laboratory, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and assess risks for construction activities.
• Develop and review JHAs, AHDs, and safety documentation.
• Support Work Planning & Control (WPC) processes.
• Conduct field safety observations and contractor oversight.
• Ensure safety during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Participate in engineering/design and readiness reviews for safety adequacy.
• Assist with incident investigations and enforce regulatory compliance requirements.
