Full Job Description
Overview

FWI is building a team to support the Naval Postgraduate School's (NPS) NPS Extended Campus (NEC) and Office of University Communications (OUC). NEC develops innovative digital learning tools and applications that support NPS graduate-level instruction and academic programming. This position will bridge software development, educational technology, and interactive media to deliver cutting-edge learning applications for NPS students and faculty. This position will design, develop, and maintain interactive online educational applications, simulations, and dashboards, ensuring NPS has modern, reliable, and user-friendly digital tools that enhance the teaching and learning experience.

 

**Position is contingent upon contract award**

 

 

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive online educational applications
  • Program simulations, dashboards, and multimedia applets for computer, tablet, and mobile platforms
  • Maintain code inventories; research emerging programming and media development trends
  • Provide consultation on media graphics for student academic projects

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • BA/BS degree in computer programming or relevant discipline.

    3 years of experience designing, developing, debugging, and implementing software.

Desired: 

  • Independent programming experience including design, specifications, integration, testing, QA, technical documentation, and effectiveness assessment.
  • Ability to perform feasibility analysis for future projects.
