Overview

District Manager

The District Manager role requires meeting and exceeding client field expectations with overall district responsibility for Client Program effectiveness and client/customer satisfaction. To do their jobs effectively, the District Manager must have excellent client service skills, the ability to identify, hire, train and manage talent and the ability to lead and develop others. District Managers must have powerful performance management and coaching skills allowing ongoing development of their employees. This position will be responsible for managing both full-time and part-time employees.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage all aspects of program execution within assigned territory
  • Establish and maintain critical relationships with client and program leadership
  • Ensure and promote strong relationships with the field team and program leadership to ensure communication continuity and adoption of all directives
  • Ensure employee satisfaction through progressive employee engagement
  • Interview and hire high quality full time and part time employees
  • Manage attrition through key performance indicators
  • Manage performance in territory to achieve all objectives

• Work collaboratively with field leadership to achieve all client and program objectives
• Communicate and execute the launch of projects and initiatives
• Participate in and deliver regular program leadership meetings
• Provide regular reports to program leadership
• Participate in and complete all required training and ensures all employees in territory are fully trained at all times
• Provide feedback on current performance metrics, derive plan of action for future progress, and ensure execution to that plan
• Provide responsibility for distribution, tracking and retention of all team resources
• Gather intelligence through visit observation and synthesize into strategic recommendations
• Directly coach and train management and/or representatives within territory
• Responsible for all operations within the assigned territory

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proven record of accomplishment as a successful leader and multi-unit manager
• Possess elevated level of business acumen
• Ability to train and develop subordinates
• Demonstrated leadership, motivational and influencing skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve, meet deadlines and goals
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide follow-up
• Capability of working in a team-oriented environment that is fair, open, and honest
• Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to present to senior leaders and executives, as well as small and large groups
• Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and personal credibility
• Ability to tackle complex issues and develop innovative and practical solutions
• Action and detail oriented; able to prioritize while handling multiple tasks and self-starter
• Quick and strong decision-making skills
• Proficient in all MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
• 2+ years' experience in industry-related field
• 3+ years' experience in management or leadership role
• 75% travel; 2-3 weeks per month
