Full Job Description
The Role

As Director Transactions, you will play a key role in supporting the Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Vice President of Transactions in the execution of business development activities. Your focus will be on valuation analysis, managing deal processes, and communicating updates to senior management and the Board of Directors. You will supervise and direct financial modeling to provide analytical rigor to support transaction decision-making. You will be the hub for cross-functional due diligence, draft term sheets and definitive agreements, and develop clear, compelling presentations. This role offers an opportunity to gain significant exposure to high-profile deals in the biopharma sector, while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Our Business Development team is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and works a hybrid schedule. Remote candidates will not be considered.

What You'll Do

Transaction Support
  • Provide day-to-day support on transaction workstreams under the leadership of the Vice President Transactions
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate companies, assets, partnerships, and transaction structures across multiple scenarios
  • Conduct valuation and sensitivity analyses to inform deal strategy and recommendations
  • Manage specific workstreams within the transaction process, including due diligence coordination and information gathering
  • Draft high-quality presentations and supporting materials for internal stakeholders, including management committee and board reviews

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate inputs into financial models and transaction analyses
  • Support the preparation of business cases and transaction documentation with analytical and strategic insights
  • Partner with external advisors (bankers, consultants, lawyers) to ensure robust execution of deal processes

What You Bring
  • 4-6 years of post-MBA experience in investment banking, private equity, or consulting, ideally with exposure to healthcare or biopharma transactions

What We Offer

Base compensation for this position ranges from $230,000 to $250,000. Actual base compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge, demonstrated skills and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify base salary ranges at any time. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Lakefront Biotherapeutics' performance bonus plan.
