Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Supply Chain Director to lead sourcing strategy and supplier management for Optical Transceivers and Fiber, supporting the rapid growth of Oracle's global cloud infrastructure.

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring a reliable, cost-effective supply of critical networking components while driving sourcing strategy, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and cross-functional execution. The Director will lead a team of Sourcing Managers and partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, and suppliers to support business growth and capacity requirements.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
  • Lead sourcing strategy and supplier management for Optical Transceivers and Fiber across Oracle's global cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage and develop a team of Sourcing Managers, providing leadership, coaching, and career development.
  • Ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Drive supplier performance, including capacity planning, delivery, quality, cost management, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve supply continuity, reduce costs, and support long-term business objectives.
  • Partner with Planning, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to align supply chain activities with demand forecasts and infrastructure deployment plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies that balance supply availability, working capital, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead efforts to identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, component shortages, and supplier-related issues.
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and material management processes that improve scalability and operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate global procurement activities and supplier engagement across multiple regions.
  • Partner with Finance to manage inventory investments, carrying costs, and supply chain financial performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, planning, inventory management, and supplier operations.
  • Build strong executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong leadership experience managing sourcing, procurement, or supply chain teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain planning, inventory management, supplier management, and procurement operations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment with evolving priorities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or related functions.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
  • Experience managing strategic supplier relationships and complex supply chains.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational improvements and delivering business results.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience sourcing networking, optical, telecommunications, datacenter, or cloud infrastructure hardware.
  • Experience supporting large-scale cloud, datacenter, or technology infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with global supply chain operations and international supplier management.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.


Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $126,200 to $264,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
