Full Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies to enable business goals, building and managing high-value supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies across all categories of spend. You will partner closely with executive leadership, finance, operations and business unit leaders to align procurement strategy with broader organizational goals, ensure supplier network resilience, and mitigate risk. This is a highly visible leadership position ideal for a strategic thinker with deep procurement expertise with a track record of transforming procurement into a driver of measurable business value.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement vision directly aligned to the company's strategic priorities.
  • Build multi-year sourcing strategies that enable key business goals and balance cost competitiveness, quality, service and speed.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage enterprise-wide purchasing power through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Support new products delivery through planning, model development and early procurement engagement.

  • Oversee contract management and supplier compliance programs.
  • Monitor external trends and market risks impacting procurement activities.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Security on complex supplier agreements.
  • Continuous partnership with Finance and Business Unit leaders to align procurement strategies.
  • Influence business stakeholders to adopt strategic sourcing practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on procurement strategy and market conditions.

Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 15+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, including 5+ years in a Director+ level role
  • Demonstrated experience building and setting procurement strategy, sourcing and negotiating technology-specific spend categories, SaaS/software licensing, cloud infrastructure, IT hardware, marketing, and professional/consulting services
  • Experience managing procurement in a high-growth or scaling tech company environment
  • Track record managing significant technology and marketing spend portfolios
  • Deep understanding of SaaS and cloud commercial models (subscription tiers, usage-based pricing, enterprise licensing agreements)
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, including experience with software licensing terms, SLAs, data privacy/security clauses, and MSAs
  • Familiarity with software asset management (SAM) and license optimization to reduce shelfware and maximize utilization
  • Experience partnering with Engineering and IT teams to evaluate build-vs-buy decisions and vendor technical fit
  • Proficiency with procurement/spend management platforms (e.g, Zip and Coupa) and familiarity with FinOps/cloud cost management tools
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to model TCO, ROI, and cost-benefit scenarios for technology investments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence leaders, executives, and business teams alike
  • Experience building scalable procurement processes and policies suited to fast-paced, agile organizations
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and vendor risk management (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.) as it relates to third-party technology vendors
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting procurement strategy as the technology roadmap evolves
  • Collaborative, low-ego approach with a bias toward speed and pragmatism, balanced with strong financial discipline and governance
  • CPSM, CPM, or CSCP certifications a plus

Cash Compensation Range: $250,000 - $300,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
