Role Overview
At Mastercard, we have a compelling opportunity to scale a high-value Services business for our Commercial customers - extending the success of our Consumer model across Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF).
We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Director to define and scale our Services strategy for Embedded Finance and Platform Solutions as part of the Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) organization.
This leader will identify, develop, and commercialize Services solutions across enterprise software ecosystems, digital platforms, fintechs, marketplaces, and commercial technology providers. The role will focus on embedding Mastercard capabilities into the workflows where commercial customers operate, unlocking new revenue streams, accelerating customer growth, and creating differentiated value propositions for platform partners.
The successful candidate will combine deep expertise in embedded finance, enterprise platforms, commercial payments, and ecosystem strategy with a strong track record of building scalable products and driving commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Market Development
- Define Mastercard's global Embedded Finance and Platform Services strategy.
- Develop commercial growth services plans for platform ecosystems including ERP, SaaS, marketplace, procurement, and fintech providers.
- Identify opportunities to embed Mastercard capabilities within customer workflows and platform user journeys.
- Assess market trends, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and partnership opportunities.
Platform & Ecosystem Development
Build strategic relationships with platform providers such as:
SAP
Oracle
Microsoft Dynamics
Salesforce
Workday
NetSuite
Coupa
Ariba
Fintech and marketplace partners
Partner with Platforms CNPF global team to identify growth opportunities and define joint value propositions.
Product & Services Commercialization
Create repeatable Services offerings tailored to platform ecosystems.
Define packaging, pricing, commercialization, and go-to-market strategies.
Develop business cases and revenue models for embedded finance opportunities.
Work closely with Services organizations to build scalable solutions.
Customer & Partner Engagement
Translate customer pain points into scalable product and service opportunities.
Pipeline Growth & Execution
Support regional teams in identifying and closing Services opportunities.
Build a strong embedded finance Services pipeline.
Track commercial performance, adoption metrics, and customer outcomes.
Facilitate best-practice sharing across regions and vertical teams.
Thought Leadership
Represent Mastercard externally through industry forums, conferences, and customer engagements.
Provide thought leadership on embedded finance, payments innovation, platform monetization, and commercial ecosystem trends.

10+ years of experience in one or more of:

Proven experience launching and scaling products, services, or partnerships that delivered measurable commercial outcomes.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
