Full Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Revenue Management to join our team at an exciting stage of our growth. Reporting to the VP of Commercial, you will be a key member of the commercial leadership team, responsible for driving both core cruise and ancillary revenue performance across our fleet. You will own pricing strategy, promotional governance, channel economics, and the data and analytics that underpin commercial decision-making across the business.

Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations and Finance, you will influence strategic decisions, optimise commercial performance and champion a data-driven approach to revenue management. You will also play an active role within the wider Travelopia Revenue Management community, sharing best practices and helping shape the future of revenue management across the group.

What you'll do:

Pricing & Revenue Strategy
  • Own end-to-end pricing strategy across voyages, ships and source markets, driving occupancy and yield performance throughout the booking curve
  • Build and optimise cabin pricing structures across ships, currencies and markets using a dynamic, demand-led approach
  • Lead revenue planning, booking pace analysis and scenario modelling, providing forward-looking insights and recommendations to the VP of Commercial and leadership team
  • Manage ancillary pricing strategies across pre-departure and onboard revenue streams to drive growth
  • Own group and full-ship charter pricing models to maximise commercial performance
  • Establish and maintain pricing policies, ensuring consistency, clarity and effective communication across channels

Promotional & Campaign Management
  • Set and govern promotional budgets, ensuring strong financial controls and alignment with commercial strategy
  • Partner closely with Marketing on the planning and execution of promotional campaigns, setting terms and conditions and ensuring promotional objectives and ROI targets are met
  • Manage the governance of Free of Charge (FOC) berths, ensuring transparency and accountability

Commercial Performance & Analytics
  • Ensure all Commercial KPIs are tracked via BI and AI-assisted dashboards; monitor voyage run rates by season and proactively flag areas of risk or opportunity to the leadership team
  • Partner closely with Finance on revenue performance and voyage profitability, delivering monthly forecast and variance commentary with clear commercial narrative
  • Design and maintain a structured competitor pricing intelligence programme, tracking rate movements, inclusions changes and capacity dynamics across key operators
  • Ensure sales channel mix and booking curve optimisation goals are met; analyse channel profitability and commission economics to inform distribution strategy

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Ensure all price deployment documents are communicated effectively and in a timely manner across sales and trade channels
  • Partner closely with inside and outside sales teams, ensuring strong understanding of current pricing and promotional activity; approve closed pricing where appropriate
  • Present pricing strategy, performance and forecasts clearly to VP, CEO and Board level - translating complex data into compelling commercial narratives
  • Play an active role within the Travelopia Revenue Management peer network, contributing to group-wide best practice and knowledge sharing

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Revenue Management function, with a mandate to build capability and team depth over time
  • Influence cross-functional commercial decision-making, operating as a trusted partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance and Product leadership
  • Champion a data-driven, performance culture within the commercial team

What you'll bring:

Essential
  • Significant revenue management experience, including a senior leadership role overseeing revenue strategy and performance
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proven track record of improving revenue and yield in a complex, multi-product, multi-market environment
  • Expertise in demand forecasting, booking pace analysis, price elasticity modelling, and scenario planning
  • Experience with enterprise revenue management or reservations systems (expedition/cruise experience advantageous)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, plus experience with BI tools and data-rich environments; SQL preferred
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and Board audiences
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience owning revenue forecasts and partnering with Finance
  • Experience leading and developing teams, with the ability to influence across functions
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strategic focus

Preferred
  • Experience in expedition cruising, premium adventure travel, small-ship cruising, or similar high-value, low-inventory travel products
  • Knowledge of GDS or trade distribution economics, including net rate and commission structures
  • Experience with AI-enabled pricing tools or a strong interest in adopting them
  • Experience managing revenue across multiple markets and currencies
