Full Job Description
As the Director, Product Creation Operations, you will lead in driving operation excellence at Arc'teryx across Product Development, Materials and Sourcing. You ensure success of seasonal delivery by driving efficient operations through process, measurement, calendars, and cross-functional leadership to ensure timelines and business objectives are met. In partnership with the broader Process Operations leadership team, you provide guidance and cohesion to optimize a high-performing operations team and functional excellence. This role is based out of our North Vancouver, BC (or Portland office) with travel to Vancouver, BC if located in Portland, and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada or the U.S. If you were the Director, Product Creation Operations here are some of the core activities you would be doing: - Leading, mentoring and motivating a team to enable the execution of product creation processes - Driving clear expectations and consistency of deliverables throughout Innovation to Customer (I2C) calendar as well as the ongoing business calendars - Establishing, owning and driving the day to day, as well as continuous improvement of processes throughout I2C calendar - Driving seasonal deliverable execution and expectations throughout the Supply Chain team, while championing a culture of continuous challenge, collaboration, improvement and growth - Identifying every opportunity to lead and mentor team members - Soliciting feedback from cross-functional leadership to support the overall business in identifying areas of process improvement, business calendar and team structure requirements - Monitoring and reporting on team performance metrics regularly to leadership - Partnering with Process Operations leaders to ensure their fingers are on the pulse of the culture; helping to champion any learning opportunities for the development and growth of the team - Collaborating with People and Culture (P&C) and supporting the Supply Chain Operations team on recruitment and training - Upholding Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc'teryx supply chain Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future: - Defining a cross-functional leadership ways of working in support of process excellence across Supply Chain functions - Defining future state process designs and optimization in partnership with your team and peers Are you our next Director, Product Creation Operations? - You have 8+ years' Product Creation or relevant experience within an apparel or footwear development environment, with 3+ years' experience in director-level leadership role - You have the ability to present strategic ideas and solicit buy-in from all levels of an organization - You communicate the vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives - You are perceptive, emotionally intelligent, and able to partner cross-functionally, able to demonstrate a strong track record of teambuilding - You have strong influential leadership, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the business - You flourish in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment and thrive on contributing to our brand and team's evolution through building relationships and creating partnerships - You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives - You have a proven track record in developing and leading the execution of a multi-year business strategy - You drive organizational excellence through continuous communication and proactive, solutions-based approaches - You have strong business acumen with the ability to lead in a complex matrix business environment - You have the ability to think both strategically and tactically, with a persistent attention to detail - You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions - You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement $149,000 - $186,000 a year A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$149,000 - CAD$186,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
