Director of NursingReelfoot Manor Health and Rehab - Tiptonville, TennesseeAs the Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical direction and strategy of our skilled nursing facility. Your expertise will guide our nursing staff in providing high-quality care to our residents, while your leadership skills will inspire and motivate them to reach their full potential. You will be responsible for:
The coordination of resident care with a "hands-on" management style
Strong organizational skills
Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies
Able to work days but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation
Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents
Ability to multi-task
Knowledge of Long-Term Care regulations
Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrent
Ability to focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions
Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assure regulatory standards and company goals are met or exceeded
Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment
- Laboratory:
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
- Human Resources:
- Recruit, hire, and train nursing staff, including orientation and onboarding programs
- Develop and implement employee development and continuing education programs
- Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement and recognition
- Quality and Compliance:
- Conduct regular rounding and quality review to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:- Education: Licensed Registered Nurse
- Experience: 3 years Supervisory Nursing Experience
- 5 years Long-Term Care Setting
- License/Certification: Current RN license and CPR/First Aid
