Full Job Description
About the role

We are hiring Adapt's first dedicated marketing leader to make Adapt the category-defining company for the central company agent and turn that attention into qualified demand. This is a hands-on role for someone who can set the strategy, write the story, ship the work, and create systems around what proves effective.

Your work starts with making Adapt legible: what category we are creating, who it is for, and why it matters. You will turn product truth and customer evidence into launches, stories, and programs that earn attention and create qualified demand. You will work directly with the CEO, Product, Engineering, Sales, and customers, owning the system from narrative through distribution and measurement. You will use Adapt and frontier AI tools to improve how Marketing researches, creates, distributes, measures, and learns without sacrificing originality, judgment, or quality.

What you will own

  • Positioning and category. Define Adapt's category narrative, ideal customer profile, audience-specific positioning, and competitive framing.
  • Product marketing and launches. Turn product capabilities into clear stories, use cases, launches, and sales narratives for technical practitioners and executives.
  • Customer proof. Build an accurate, permissioned system for customer stories, demonstrations, and evidence of business impact.
  • Qualified demand. Create and capture demand through founder voice, content, community, events, partners, lifecycle programs, and targeted campaigns.
  • Brand and distribution. Maintain a high standard across public touchpoints and build a consistent operating cadence for content, launches, and distribution.
  • Measurement and operating cadence. Partner on attribution and funnel definitions, then build the systems and operating rhythm around the channels that produce qualified pipeline.

What success looks like

  • Adapt has a clear, differentiated category story that Product, Sales, and company leadership use consistently.
  • Customer proof and product launches run through repeatable, AI-assisted systems that increase the quality and speed of research, creation, publishing, and distribution.
  • Marketing produces a growing contribution to sales-qualified pipeline with credible attribution and improving conversion from engagement to qualified demand.

What we are looking for

  • 8+ years across one or more of product marketing, developer marketing, demand generation, brand, content, or communications
  • Experience building marketing at an early-stage or rapidly scaling technical company
  • Exceptional writing and editing, with a portfolio or anonymized examples that show both taste and measurable business impact
  • Technical and AI fluency: you understand AI systems, APIs, infrastructure, or developer workflows, actively redesign your own marketing workflows around frontier AI tools, and can earn credibility with engineers
  • Evidence of launching products, shaping positioning, and creating qualified pipeline while remaining hands-on
  • Experience creating a new category or marketing to both technical practitioners and executive buyers
  • Experience managing agencies, contractors, budgets, or an early marketing team

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation strategy including large equity grants for early hires at an early stage in the company's journey
  • Inclusive healthcare packages (medical, dental, vision)
  • Frontier AI access: Claude Code, OpenAI, Cursor, Codex, and most importantly unlimited internal use of Adapt itself

Base salary: $200-270k. Actual offer depends on skills, experience, and location. Total comp also includes equity, benefits, and potential bonus or variable pay. Your recruiter will walk you through the details.
