Role Overview

The Director of Access Services will be responsible for leading multiple large-scale initiatives concurrently, from ideation to execution and implementation; reporting to the Head of North American Market Data & Access Services.

This role oversees our North American Access Services products which include physical and logical access to our markets. The ability to manage continuous product development, functionality enhancements, policy changes, and pricing modifications is critical to the role.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical acumen, exceptional business management capabilities, and demonstrate a clear focus on managing and growing revenue to hit growth targets.

The individual will be a self-starter who is intelligent, eager, personable, independent, highly organized, and assertive while also able to embrace a fast-paced, time sensitive, complex, and challenging yet intellectually rewarding financial and technological environment.

Location: Selected candidate must be willing to work a hybrid schedule in our Chicago or NYC office

Your responsibilities will be:

Product Strategy & Management
  • Assist in identifying and assessing new product ideas, market opportunities, and/or current gaps, for product roadmap development based on detailed analysis, research, customer feedback, and internal collaboration.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to own business case development for new features, products, and infrastructure investments.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders to uncover opportunities, build consensus, and bring product to market all the way through to launch.
  • Act as project manager on high-value projects ensuring the launch of commercially successful products through coordination with internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of equities and options markets and the firms who trade on them; experience managing connectivity products and bringing new products to market is critical.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert and escalation point for day-to-day product requests and questions as needed


Business Development & Go-to-Market
  • Oversee and influence the entire GTM process for our products; coordinating across Sales, Marketing, and other client-focused functions to ensure successful product launches
  • Engage directly and proactively with trading firms, brokers, vendors, and service providers to understand evolving connectivity needs and ensure Cboe's offerings remain competitive.
  • Discuss product suite and solutions with our existing and prospective clients to educate them on our offering as it relates to their individual use cases, technical implementations, and in partnership with Marketing and Communications team to articulate compelling product value propositions
  • Shape and modify deliverables to craft customer-centric solutions through often complex problem solving around client trading systems, network architecture, and data platforms.


Business Analysis & Operations
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging trends in customer latency , vendor technologies, and regulatory developments to inform roadmap prioritization
  • Ability to analyze data, understand competitor pricing / solutions, make informed product and policy recommendations, and take action to implement these recommendations
  • Review and assist in the process of drafting commercial contracts, policies, and legal filings in coordination with the legal team.


The ideal candidate has:
  • 12 years of related experience in product management with a BS in a technical discipline such Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an engineering related field, with experience in finance, business analysis and product management. MBA preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of telecommunications including wide area networks, and trading infrastructure
  • Excellent communicator with strong verbal, written language, and customer service skills (internally and externally with clients/prospects).
  • Candidates are required to be proficient in analyzing, forecasting, documenting, presenting, and gaining approval for products and projects.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively alongside colleagues on different teams and in different regions.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively, and independently.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and research skills (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Prior experience with exchange connectivity products (co-location, sponsored access, logical connectivity) strongly preferred
