Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? Join RBC's Enterprise Performance Management team to provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership, including the CFO, Group Executives, and Board of Directors. You will help to shape the strategic narrative that drives critical business decisions by synthesizing enterprise performance, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics into forward-looking insights. Operating at the intersection of data, strategy, and executive influence, you'll work across all platforms and business segments to identify strategic opportunities, challenge assumptions, and drive enterprise-wide impact through compelling storytelling and analytical rigor.
What will you do?Strategic Insights & Performance Measurement
- Develop the strategic narrative that frames how leadership understands RBC's competitive position and future trajectory
- Prepare executive briefs and board presentations that turn complex analysis into clear recommendations
- Synthesize enterprise performance data, competitive intelligence, and market trends to surface strategic opportunities and risks before they materialize
- Challenge conventional thinking and provide fresh perspectives that inform executive decisions
AI-Powered Strategic Insights
- Pioneer the use of AI and advanced analytics to uncover hidden patterns and strategic opportunities in enterprise data
- Translate complex AI/ML outputs into compelling strategic narratives and actionable recommendations that drive C-suite action
- Position RBC at the forefront of data-driven strategic decision-making
Cross-Enterprise Execution & Delivery
- Lead strategic projects across the enterprise and deliver results on tight deadlines
- Drive alignment across business segments to execute on enterprise priorities
- Influence stakeholders without direct authority to achieve strategic outcomes
- Ensure high-quality output under pressure with competing demands
What do you need to succeed?Must-have- 5+ years of progressive experience in strategy consulting, banking, performance management, investor relations, or financial services.
- CFA, CPA, or equivalent designation.
- High degree of initiative and ability to synthesize insights from multiple data sources including performance metrics, competitive intelligence, and market trends.
- Comfort with ambiguity and building new narratives.
- Deep understanding of performance metrics, and executive decision-making processes.
- Ability to convert financial data and knowledge into clear and concise messaging with actionable advice for business partners.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and influence without direct authority across diverse stakeholder groups
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort in presenting to and advising executives.
Nice-to-have- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- Experience with competitive intelligence functions
- Familiarity with AI/ML capabilities and data analytics tools
- Translating data and AI outputs into compelling strategic narratives that influence enterprise-wide decisions.
- Understanding of banking regulatory environment and financial reporting
