Job Description:

The Director, Enterprise Architecture is responsible for shaping and advancing the company's technology strategy, ensuring technology investments align with business objectives and support long term growth. This leader serves as a critical bridge between business strategy and technology execution, partnering with executive stakeholders to simplify complex technology environments, drive digital transformation, and build future ready capabilities across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, security, and AI.

The Director will lead a team of architects while influencing cross functional technology and business teams to establish technology standards, guide major investment decisions, modernize enterprise platforms, and deliver scalable, secure, and business focused solutions. This role requires a combination of strategic leadership, relationship management, business acumen, and technical depth to help drive enterprise transformation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Enterprise Transformation
  • Develop and communicate the enterprise technology vision, strategy, and multi year roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders on technology investments, transformation initiatives, risk management, and business capabilities.
  • Lead enterprise modernization efforts across applications, cloud platforms, data, AI, automation, and digital technologies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities that create business value and competitive advantage.
  • Establish success metrics and measure the impact of technology investments and architectural decisions.
Enterprise Architecture & Governance
  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards, principles, governance processes, and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead architecture review processes to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with long term business objectives.
  • Drive simplification initiatives that reduce technology complexity, eliminate redundancy, and optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Guide technology lifecycle management, platform rationalization, and modernization strategies across the enterprise.
Business Partnership & Process Improvement
  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into technology capabilities and solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through standardization, automation, digital transformation, and AI driven capabilities.
  • Facilitate cross functional planning, prioritization, and decision making to ensure alignment between business and technology teams.
  • Communicate complex technology concepts and tradeoffs in clear, business focused language.
Application & Technology Portfolio Leadership
  • Establish strategies and roadmaps for enterprise applications and business platforms.
  • Assess opportunities to modernize, consolidate, replace, or enhance technology solutions based on business value and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure technology solutions support current and future business requirements.
  • Promote reusable, scalable, and flexible technology designs that enable growth and innovation.
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high performing team of architects and technical professionals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, digital transformation, or related technology leadership roles.
  • 5+ years of experience leading architects, engineers, or technical teams directly or through a matrix organization.
  • Proven success developing enterprise technology strategies, governance frameworks, standards, and multi year roadmaps.
  • Experience leading large scale business and technology transformation initiatives, including enterprise applications, cloud technologies, data, integration, and process improvement.
  • Strong ability to align technology investments with business objectives and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to evaluate opportunities, manage risk, and prioritize strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success simplifying complex technology environments and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience influencing decisions across cross functional teams and complex organizational structures.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience within manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
