Job Description Summary:

The Digital Experience Lead is responsible for shaping and delivering user-centered digital experiences that advance organizational priorities, support seamless member experiences, and drive business outcomes. Partnering across business, technology, and vendor teams, this role translates strategy into execution, leads cross-functional collaboration, and ensures digital solutions are accessible, intuitive, and aligned with user needs. The ideal candidate combines expertise in user experience (UX) and human-centered design, stakeholder leadership, and strong governance practices to drive innovation, manage risk, and deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the design and delivery of user-centered digital experiences by championing usability and accessibility standards. Collaborates with design, development, and testing teams to ensure solutions meet quality benchmarks and leverage modern methodologies for improved user experience.
  • Drive the coordination with internal teams and external vendors to foster collaboration and alignment across stakeholders. Manage communications, facilitate workshops, and maintain structured engagement plans to ensure clarity on objectives, resolve dependencies, and achieve successful delivery.
  • Establish and maintain streamlined processes for digital programs, ensuring risks are mitigated, compliance requirements are met, and progress is tracked through clear reporting.
  • Special Projects/Communication: Lead special projects and collaborative efforts with BCBSA, Plans, and vendors to support strategic initiatives.

The posting range for this position is:

115,900.00 - 168,025.00

Required Education, Certifications and Experience:

Education

  • Required BS ; or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Required 7+ Years digital program or project management, with proven success managing complex initiatives

Certifications & Licenses

  • Preferred: Certified User Experience Professional (CUEP) - UXQB or similar recognized HCD programs or equivalent

  • Preferred: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI or equivalent

  • The Digital Experience Lead leads the planning and execution of strategic digital initiatives that support organizational goals and enhance the user experience.
  • This role partners across business and technology teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, align stakeholders, and drive the delivery of digital solutions that meet business and customer needs.
  • The position oversees governance processes, manages vendor partnerships, and promotes collaboration across teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
  • With a focus on quality, usability, accessibility, and compliance, the Digital Experience Lead helps advance digital capabilities while identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

A candidate’s position within the hiring range may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for annual bonus incentive pay.
