About the Role We are seeking a curious and self-motivated DevOps Engineer with experience in building and operating modern cloud infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems, CI/CD pipelines, security, and compliance with company policies. This position requires strong expertise in at least one Cloud Computing Platform (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI), at least one IAC tool (Terraform preferred), at least one Container Orchestration System (k8s, ECS, nomad, etc.), and at least basic skills writing software (go, python, any language). Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on AWS (and other cloud providers) • Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines • Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions • Drive automation across build, deployment, and operational tasks • Maintain security standards of infrastructure (containers, application dependencies, terraform dependencies, firewalls, service meshes, etc.) • Participation in on call rotations (primarily during your daytime) Requirements • Experience in AI driven development & debugging • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps / SRE (some years could be substituted by experience in software engineering in general). • Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as a Code • Solid understanding of AWS services (or other clouds) • Experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch & supporting existing ones • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Datadog) • Coding skills in at least one programming language (Go, JS, Python) • Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and infrastructure monitoring Why Proofpoint?
