Full Job Description
We are seeking a Developer Product Marketing Manager to join our Developer Marketing team and help define and scale the core developer use cases that drive adoption of Algolia. This role will shape how we show up to developers across our key surfaces and campaigns, ensuring developers can successfully build with Algolia and translate that into sustained usage.
Our Developer Marketing team collaborates closely with Product, Growth, Developer Relations, Documentation, and Events to attract, activate, and inspire developers. You will play a key role in aligning these teams around the highest-impact developer journeys-from first interaction to production usage.
The ideal candidate has experience marketing to developers or technical audiences, and is excited about APIs, search, and AI-powered applications.
YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:
- Define developer personas & use cases: Understand our target developers and prioritize the key use cases they should build with Algolia.
- Drive developer activation: Ensure each use case has a clear path to first success through messaging, demos, and content in partnership with Docs, DevRel, and Growth.
- Own developer messaging & positioning: Craft clear, differentiated messaging and ensure consistency across DevHub, landing pages, campaigns, and docs.
- Build and communicate use cases: Develop simple demos, examples, or walkthroughs to illustrate core workflows, and confidently present these narratives in webinars, events, or external forums.
- Optimize developer acquisition surfaces: Improve conversion across developer entry points by strengthening messaging and signup flows with Growth and Web teams.
- Connect adoption to business impact & improve the developer experience:
- Track activation, usage, and revenue signals to scale high-performing use cases and reduce friction across the developer journey.
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:
- Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, developer-friendly messaging.
- Developer Audience Understanding:
- Familiarity with how developers discover, evaluate, and adopt tools, with an interest in APIs, infrastructure, or AI-powered applications.
- Product & Growth Mindset:
- Ability to connect messaging and content to outcomes like activation, usage, and revenue, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Execution & Ownership:
- Ability to independently manage projects and drive execution across teams, with strong attention to detail.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Experience working with Product, Engineering, Marketing, or developer-facing teams to deliver cohesive initiatives.
- Analytical Skills:
- Comfort using data and feedback to evaluate performance and iterate on messaging and content.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in product marketing, developer marketing, technical marketing, growth, or product roles, preferably in SaaS or developer tools.
- Preference for candidates with experience at our current stage and beyond (over 10,000 customers, $50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with APIs, search, or developer infrastructure products
- Familiarity with AI/LLM ecosystems or modern developer workflows
- Experience working with Developer Relations, documentation, or technical content teams

The annual base salary compensation range for this role reflects US market pay data within this location. The exact compensation offered for this role may vary depending on specific location and job-related knowledge, technical skills, and experience; and is only one part of our Total Rewards philosophy to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
Remote US: Base Salary Pay Range
$119,000-$152,000 USD
